Number 7

A beggar kept farting loudly in the public bathhouse. He handed a drum to a little boy and said, 'When I go into the bath, beat the drum so the sound of my farts won't be heard.' So whenever a fart rang out louder, he would hit the boy, saying, 'Beat the drum so my farting can't be heard!' The boy replied, 'You fart so loud that the drum's sound gets drowned out. That's no fault of mine.' Here the comic tales come to an end, and I beg God's forgiveness for all my sins.
Explanation: The second line is in Arabic, a formulaic closing that seeks God's forgiveness after a book of bawdy jokes.
