The light of beauty has dawned across the world; and what quarrel does it have with faith or creed? It is the very meaning of the divine names. By your life, it is thousands upon thousands of leagues from the city of this world of forms to the kingdom of nearness to God. The whole world is full of this world-illuminating sun; where is the sun's radiant face, and where the blind eye that cannot see it? Drunk with longing for your love, I clap my hands and sing: 'tanan tanan, tanan tan, tala tala talla.' No mistake comes from God's doing, so do not walk the road of ignorance; it is only the arch of your own frown that has led you into error. 'He loves them' came down from God, dear scholar, so take no offense: our love-play breaks no law of the true faith. Blessed by the fortune of union with you, Qasemi is free at last from any thought of the shade of the Tuba tree or the paradise of refuge.
Explanation: 'Yuhibbuhum' ('He loves them') is a Quranic phrase used to justify divine love. The Tuba tree and 'jannat al-ma'wa' (paradise of refuge) are Quranic images of heaven, which the lover dismisses in favor of union with the beloved.
