The fiery wine has come from the hand of the cupbearer of souls; drink this cup of fire: we place our trust in the Lord. Swallow the crimson wine, fear neither water nor fire; rise and dance a while in joy, and see the wine's own generosity. Seek your perfection within yourself, for you are an ocean of oneness, not a stream; you are the essence of this wine, you are the whole vocabulary of this sea. You are that heart-burning king, triumphant and sovereign; your smallest cup is a sea, your smallest gnat a phoenix. Do not fear the enemy's tricks; set your foot firmly on the path of love; step into the valley of safety, for I have crossed this desert myself. Hear this simple word from me: seize the moment as a prize; learn from the lover, my dear, and do not put off today until tomorrow. You are the very soul of the beloved's soul, hidden from people's eyes; come out from behind your door, for the caravans have loaded and set off. Wherever that beloved is, I am fresh and glad at heart; we were where they were, and they were where we were. Poor Qasim always keeps his hope in you; you are present, you are watching, you are hidden, you are revealed.
Explanation: The 'fiery wine' is a Sufi image for divine love and ecstasy, not literal drink. The Arabic phrases echo Quranic-style expressions of trust in God and mutual presence with the beloved.
