Another Poem by Him

I am Deldel, daughter of the vine, given to noble men; I bring rest and wine to the heart of the one lost in love. It is enough to sip from her lips once the fire of longing has burned itself out; so, seeker of union, endure the anguish of love.
Explanation: These verses are in Arabic. 'Daughter of the vine' is a classic metaphor for wine, and Deldel is a playful proper name given to the beloved or the cup.
