Story No. 2

They say a master had a servant of rare beauty, and he looked upon him with genuine affection and honest regard. He said to one of his friends: 'What a pity, with all his beauty and grace, if only this servant did not talk back and behave so rudely.' The friend replied: 'My brother, once you have admitted your love for him, expect no service from him; for where lover and beloved enter, master and slave depart.' When the master and his fairy faced servant give themselves to play and laughter, it is no wonder that the servant gives commands like a master, while the master bears the weight of the servant's whims.
Explanation: The point is that love overturns hierarchy: in love, the beloved rules and the lover serves, regardless of social rank.
