What a wonder! This upright figure is doomsday itself;
even the cypress lacks the grace that you possess.
Better that you visit graves no more,
so the dead won't cry out, 'Judgment Day has come!'
Explanation: In Persian poetry the cypress is the standard image for a beloved's tall, elegant stature. 'Qiyamat' (resurrection/doomsday) puns on the beloved's stunning 'qamat' (figure): so beautiful it could raise the dead.
