A Tale

Two men came upon dust and uproar and a fight, sandals flying, stones in the air. One saw the trouble and slipped away to the side; the other stepped into the middle and got his head cracked. No one is happier than the person who keeps to himself, who has nothing to do with anyone's good or bad. Your eyes were set in your head, and so were your ears; your mouth is for speaking, your heart for good sense. So you can tell the low ground from the high, and know which thing is short and which is long.
Explanation: The last couplets argue that your senses were given to you so you can judge things for yourself, a reason to stay out of quarrels that are none of your business.
