A Tale

An old man beat his son with a stick. The boy cried, 'Father, don't beat me, I've done nothing wrong.' 'When other people wrong me, I can come to you and weep. But when you are the one who wrongs me, what am I to do?' So, you who have any sense, cry out to the Judge for help, not in complaint against the Judge himself.
Explanation: The 'Judge' (davar) stands for God: in trouble one should seek refuge in Him rather than protest against Him.
