The Coronation in Baghdad

He took his seat in Baghdad on the ivory throne and placed that radiant crown upon his head. With his belt fastened and the mace of kings in hand, he made his place of seating splendid. From then on they called him the king of kings; no one could tell him apart from Goshtasp. When he set the great crown upon his head, he spoke these words upon the turquoise throne: The justice of the world is my own treasure; the world lives on by my fortune and my toil. No one can take this treasure from me; harm comes to people through their own evil deeds. When the pure Lord of the world is pleased, he withholds not even this dark earth from me. The whole world, end to end, is under my protection; to honor justice is the path I follow. None of my officers, my commanders or my mounted warriors, should let anyone lie down with a heart full of unmet longing, whether a servant or a good and honest person. This court stands open to everyone, to the ill-wisher and to the person of good will alike. The whole assembly cried out in praise: May the earth flourish through your justice. He sent an army out to every side, so that wherever an enemy raised its head, they would turn back those bent on revenge, wherever the way of the sword and battle should be needed.
Explanation: Goshtasp is a legendary Persian king, invoked here as the standard of royal majesty. The turquoise throne evokes the sky-colored splendor of kingship.
