Abd al-Razzaq Lahiji
فیاض لاهیجی
1607–1662
Mulla Abd al-Razzaq Ali ibn Husayn Lahiji, known by the pen name Fayyaz (died 1072 AH), was a Muslim and Shia theologian. He was the author of works such as Gawhar-i Murad, Sarmaya-yi Iman, and Shawariq al-Ilham. He and Fayz Kashani were both students and sons-in-law of Mulla Sadra. A friendship existed between Fayyaz and Fayz. He referred to Fayz with respect, sometimes describing him with the phrase "baz afazil-i ikhwanina al-ilahiyyin" (some of the most learned of our divine brethren). Mulla Sadra gave him the title "Fayyaz." The daughter of Mulla Sadra and wife of Lahiji was named Umm Kulthum (1019 to 1090 AH), an educated and learned woman who studied the philosophical sciences under her father and her husband. She sometimes attended the gatherings of scholars and debated with them.
