Ahmad ibn Ja'far ibn Yahya al-Barmaki
احمد برمکی
893–938
Ahmad ibn Ja'far ibn Yahya al-Barmaki was a historian, astronomer, and man of letters who composed poetry in both Persian and Arabic. His poems were collected and compiled by Abu Nasr Pur Marzban. He lived a long life and died in 324-326 AH. Only a single line of this poet's verse has survived. His poems have been made available on Ganjoor through the efforts of Majid Imamverdi, drawn from the book of scattered verses of Persian-speaking poets compiled by Gilbert Lazard, as well as from the account of the lives and poems of poets without divans in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th centuries AH, edited by Mahmoud Modabberi.
